Burglary Suspect

PERTH AMBOY  –  On Monday, 13 February 2012 11:16am police responded to 642 Franklin Drive on a report of a burglary that had occurred. Victim reported that she had just gotten home from the store and found someone inside her home. When the victim opened her front door and walked into her house she heard noises coming from upstairs and yelled “who’s up there”. A male subject then came downstairs and confronted the victim. Subject did not say anything but tried to get out the north side sliding door that was locked he then ran past the victim and out the front south side door onto Franklin Drive. Victim states she punched the subject in the arm. The subject then ran west on Franklin Drive where the victim lost sight of him.

The subject entered the house through a rear north side basement window. Once inside the subject entered the first floor by kicking out the door that leads to the basement. He then entered the second floor bedrooms and removed some jewelry and change that was on the dressers of both bedrooms.

Suspect is described as a Hispanic or white male around six feet tall thin build. Same was wearing a blue colored coat with white or grey colored sweatpants. Same was wearing a black wool hat.
