PERTH AMBOY – On Friday, 17 February 2012 at approximately 11:00 pm police officers Jesus Martinez and Luis Corro were flagged down by a concerned citizen in the area of Fayette Street and Stanford Street. It was reported that a Hispanic male abruptly started to yell out in Spanish that another Hispanic male was being robbed by four young Hispanic males. Officer Martinez immediately ran towards that area of Watson Avenue where the citizen was pointing. Officer Martinez observed a large group of individuals involved in some type of altercation in the area of 310 Watson Avenue.

After a police investigation four individuals were taken into custody and charged with robbery and two were charges with eluding police. All four were juveniles, names held due to age. A set of brass knuckles and the victim’s wallet were recovered. The wallet was returned to the victim a short time later. The victim was taken to Raritan Bay Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries.

All four males were transported to the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center.
