Looking Back: Parker Castle

PERTH AMBOY – Parker Castle circa early 1900’s.  From Glass Negative.  The Castle was surrounded by gardens.  It was used for balls, dinners and parties during the Revolutionary War.  Parker added a section made of wood.  The British Army used it for a barracks and hospital.  The American Army used it as a hospital during the war.  Like St. Peters it was used by both sides through out the war.
