PERTH AMBOY – On Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 10:30 am police were dispatched to 781 Stephen Avenue on an alarm at the back door.

Police Officer Joseph Sulikowski arrived and observed the chain link gate on the west side of the home open. He proceeded to the rear and observed the rear sliding door open. He then observed a male, later identified as Richard Saint Pierre-Suriel age 20, as he exited the door turn and run.

After a foot chase Suriel was apprehended by Police Officers Arcadio Rivera and Sulikowski in the area of 775 Chamberlain Avenue. Also recovered was jewelry which was taken from the home.

Richard Saint Pierre-Suriel resides at Stephen Avenue.

He was charged with burglary, obstructing justice and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $25,000 no 10% by the Honorable Judge Maria Del Valle.
