Raritan Bay Area YMCA Hosts Special Olympics

Jersey Waves Special Olympics Swim Meet—

PERTH AMBOY – On Sunday, March 25, 2012 the RARITAN BAY AREA YMCA, for the first time, hosted the Middlesex and Union Counties Special Olympics Swim Meet. We opened our doors to the brand new team, which consists of 14 athletes all of whom are new to NJ Special Olympics. I am the parent of a Jersey Waves athlete, as well as the Local Training Program Coordinator. On Sunday, March 25, there will be three Area 5 swim teams competing to advance to the next level which is the Sectional Swim Meet which will be held in April in Highstown, NJ. If the athletes qualify at Sectionals, they will advance to the Summer Olympics held in June at The College of New Jersey. We would love for you to support the Jersey Waves in action on Sunday March 25 and bring awareness of the activities offered through NJ Special Olympics! For more information please contact Steve Jobin, President & CEO at 732.442.3632 or sjobin@rbaymca.org
