Kick-off for Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive—May 12

Campbell’s Soup Company Teams With National Association of Letter-Carriers  20th Anniversary

PERTH AMBOY – On Saturday, May 12, 2012 will be the nation’s largest single day food drive benefiting Feeding America.

This is the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief organization.  The food drive at the post office in Perth Amboy which is No. 457 of the National Associations of Letter-Carriers will be participating in collecting food on that day.  Besides the post office drop-offs the carriers will also be collecting nonperishable food items on their routes.

The food collected in Perth Amboy and Hopelawn will be distributed to Perth Amboy food pantries.  Food collected in Fords and Keasbey will be distributed to food pantries in Woodbridge Township.

Campbell’s Soup and the NALC are asking all to participate in making this a larger food drive than last year when there were 70.2 million pounds of food collected.

Make sure to look for the Campbell’s Soup Stamp Out Hunger container at your local post office.
