City Man  Arrested For Drug Possession —

Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at approximately 6:50 p.m. Detectives for the Special Investigations Bureau along with Detective Bureau personnel arrested Sean Brown, age 37, who possessed (120) decks of heroin in an apartment on Convery Blvd., Perth Amboy. Mr. Brown refused to grant consent to search his apartment. Police apply for and were granted a Superior Court Search Warrant by the Honorable Judge Vincent Le Blon for the apartment along with a 1998 Jeep Cherokee that was registered to Brown.

Upon execution of the Superior Court Search Warrant, an additional (370) decks of heroin, $10,783.00 in U.S. Currency, a .40 caliber Beretta Handgun, loaded with (8) hollow point bullets, and a digital scale was recovered from the apartment.

A search of the Jeep Cherokee was then conducted and an additional (7) decks of heroin were recovered.

Mr. Brown was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within 1000 feet of the Woodbridge Vo-Tech High School, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of Warren Park, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of hollow point bullets, Certain persons not to possess a weapon, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a drug offense. Bail was set by the Honorable Judge Allen Comba at $200,000.00 with no 10% option.

The total street value of the CDS seized is approximately $5,000.00. The $10,783.00, Jeep Cherokee, along with a 2008 Audi S5 was seized. The investigation was lead by Detectives Mohamed Mohamed and David Guzman.

Drug Arrest

Saturday, May 5, 2012 — police arrested Hector Aran-Amador, age 23 of Gordon Street and Manuel Perez, age 23 of Smith Street.

Police Office David Formeza was dispatched to the tunnel area that connects Stanford Street and New Brunswick Avenue on a report a suspicious activity. After an investigation both suspects were arrested.

Mr. Amador was charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana, intent to distribute drugs, distributing drugs within 1,000 feet of the Richardson School, and resisting arrest. Bail was set by the Honorable Judge George Boyd for $35,000 with no 10% option.

Mr. Perez was arrested for loitering in a public place to obtain drugs. He was summonsed out a short time later.

Suspect Arrested In Assault Case

Monday, May 7  2012 police arrested Justino Gutierrez, age 47, of Prospect Street, Perth Amboy for possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, aggravated assault with a knife and attempted murder.

Police were dispatched to a building on Market Street at 10:31 p.m. on a report of a stabbing. When police arrived they found victim laying on the floor in the front doorway, with multiple stab wounds to her cheek, throat, and wrist. Victim was taken by medivac to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick. Victim is currently being treated and is presently stable.

It was reported to police that during a domestic dispute an argument ensued and a knife was used in the assault. Police were able to recover the knife after arresting Mr. Gutierrez.

Honorable Judge Toth was contacted and bail is to be set at county level.
