SOUTH AMBOY — SAT CLEP GED GMAT ACT PSAT TOEFL LSAT NMSQT MCAT NCLEX-RN ASVAB, EMT, PANCE PRAXIS… South Amboy residents preparing to tackle academic or career-orientated exams will soon have an opportunity to try their hand at free full-length practice tests thanks to a new service provided by the Dowdell Library of South Amboy.

Starting June 1st, the Dowdell Library will offer FREE and unlimited online access to more than 770 career and educational courses and practice tests! Improving the job search process, preparing for career certification, raising college entrance test scores, and improving basic skills are all possible with just the click of a mouse. So, visit the Dowdell Library, log on to a computer, and enjoy free, unlimited access to interactive skill building courses in math, reading, and writing as well as a broad range of practice tests based on official exams such as: SAT, GED, firefighter, police officer, paramedic, Allied Healthcare, U.S. Citizenship, postal worker, cosmetology, and real estate agent and broker exams. This valuable service is available 24/7 from any Internet-enabled computer—in your library and even from your home!

The most up-to-date test preparation and skill-building resources are available which help both students and adults prepare for a wide range of academic and career-oriented exams. In addition, job-skills tutorials are available to assist in creating a great resume, honing interviewing techniques, and improving business communications. In addition, patrons also have the option of selecting from more than 130 e-Book titles to help learners of all ages prepare for success.

This innovative platform can be accessed from any computer that has an Internet connection.

The Dowdell Library of South Amboy is located off O’Leary Boulevard; adjacent to the South Amboy High School and is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am – 8 pm and Wednesday and Friday from 10 am – 5 pm. Closed Saturday from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
