Cathedral International Celebrates Holy Convocation June 19 thru 22, 2012

PERTH AMBOY – Holy Convocation is the most important gathering of the year at Cathedral International. “Holy Convocation is a time that offers inspiring guidance, opportunities for reflection and recommitment to our spiritual walk,” said Cathedral International’s Senior Pastor Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr. This special service is convening June 19 – 22, 2012 at 277 Madison Ave.

Speakers for Holy Convocation will include Pastor Phyllis Hilliard, Cathedral’s staff pastor; Rev. Shirley Graham, co-pastor, Holy Temple Church, Toms River, NJ; Rev. Dr. Bernadette Glover, Cathedral’s executive pastor and Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr.

Rev. Dr. Glover will be retiring from 20 years of faithful service as executive pastor at Cathedral this month. On Friday, June 22 of the Holy Convocation, a special service of worship and thanks will be held for Rev. Glover. Music from the Cathedral Choir and liturgical dance from the Cathedral Dance Ministry will be an important part of each service. Guest psalmists is Lucinda Moore, 2011 Stellar Award Winner for best traditional female gospel singer of the year.

Since 1983, Bishop Hilliard has led what has become known nationally as a relevant and vibrant ministry serving the needs of its congregation and community in Perth Amboy, Plainfield and Asbury Park. He and his wife, Pastor Phyllis Hilliard will host the Holy Convocation.
