Pop Artist Ryan Paul Simmons At the Armory

PERTH AMBOY — Meet Pop Artist Ryan Paul Simmons, at MOPA’s, Museums Of Perth Amboy, July 3rd Fireworks celebration at the Armory Restaurant, tickets are available! Call now (732) 826-0290 EXT 4011. Mr. Simmons is best known for his (Barrack The Vote)an iconic image that he painted at President Obama’s, southern rally’s during his presidential run in 08’. He has decided to put his Pop style portrait of Dr. Martin Luther King, onto an online auction site called Charity Buzz.

Funds will go to support MOPA’s mission which is the support of all the Historic Museums in Perth Amboy. These historic sites include: Franklin’s Royal Governor’s Mansion, built in 1762, making it 250 years old this year. It is the last Royal Governor’s Mansion, left in our Country from the Original 13 colonies. With the likes of Benjamin Franklin, William Franklin, John Adams, General Cornwallis from the British side walking its Halls, and many more making it the true Cross Roads Of The Revolution.

The Ferry Slip, The Kearny Cottage and Perth Amboy’s City Hall built 1714, besides being the oldest continues use government building in our Country, it was also used by New Jerseys, Provincial Assembly, until 1775, first to ratify the United States Bill of Rights and in 1870. Mr. Thomas Mundy Peterson, became the first African-American ever to cast a vote inside this building after Abraham Lincoln’s, Emancipation Proclamation.
