SOUTH AMBOY – Special guest former Olympian Taraje Williams-Murray. He represented the U.S.A. in Judo in the 2004 Olympics in Athens and the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. He was 3 time world champion. In 2005 and 2007 senior world and junior world in 2002. Born and raised in The Bronx and still lives there.
There were 4 events at the S.A. Olympics. Soccer, baton relay, sponge relay, and obstacle course. The sponge relay consisted of 2 teams and four buckets. Two of the buckets were full of water. The object of the event was for a team member to soak a sponge from the full bucket run to the empty bucket and squeeze the water out then run back and hand the sponge off to the next team mate, and repeat the process till one was empty and the other full.
