Civil War Living History Weekend—August 4-5

WOODBRIDGE – There will be a Civil War Living History Weekend on August 4 and 5 at Parker Press Park, Rahway Avenue (Rte. 514) Just off Main Street Woodbridge. Each day see soldiers drill, weapon’s demonstration, battlefield skirmish, military demonstration, period living historians, military camp life, period civilian life, Civil War displays and activities. Visit participating Sutlers selling goods, Period photographer, Civil War library book sale. Chance for camp prize. Book Publishers and Authors.

Camps are open to the public on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Special Civil War 150th Anniversary Ceremony starting at 8 p.m. Saturday Evening in the Park. Saturday Evening Candle-Light Tour of the Soldiers’ Camps and Civilian Areas – 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Rain or Shine – Free Parking – Free Admission.
