Long-Time Jiffy Lube Employees Sign Development Agreement For First Center

Partners Become Owners of Location in Woodbridge, New Jersey —

HOUSTON, TX (July 19, 2012) – Jiffy Lube® International, the company that pioneered the quick lube industry, announced today that it has signed an agreement with longtime employees and now first-time franchisees, Andre Harrison and Ramel Diaz. The partners took over the operations of the existing Jiffy Lube service center at 424 King George Highway in Woodbridge, New Jersey earlier this month. Together, they have approximately 27 years of combined experience working for the quick service leader.

Harrison and Diaz met almost 13 years ago at the Jiffy Lube Floral Park center on Long Island, New York, where they began their careers cleaning cars as courtesy technicians. As they both advanced in their careers from upper to district management, the two always had entrepreneurial plans for their future with the company.

“We are thrilled to have opened our first location in Woodbridge, New Jersey,” said Ramel Diaz. “Our shared passion and dedication for the brand has allowed Andre and myself to live out our dream of business ownership.”

With a network of more than 2,000 independently owned franchises in North America, Jiffy Lube has a long history within the automotive service industry. Franchisees have an average of 13 years in the system.

“We are honored to welcome Andre Harrison and Ramel Diaz into our system,” said Barry Wood, Jiffy Lube director, market optimization. “Their commitment and persistence to succeed is admirable and we are so proud of all their hard work now as business owners.”

Jiffy Lube is seeking qualified franchisee candidates to join its network of service centers. To learn more about our program and requirements, visit www.franchise.jiffylube.com or call (800) 327-9532.
