SOUTH AMBOY – During the month of November, all 23 offices of Amboy Bank have been collecting food and household items for food banks in their branch areas. Every Amboy office manager selected a food bank to collect for in their community. In many cases Amboy has a strong relationship with the organizations including Elijah’s Promise in New Brunswick, the Old Bridge Food Bank and Lunch Break in Red Bank.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the need was even greater. Amboy Bank had the added support of one of their vendors. PrintMail Systems of Newton Pennsylvania arranged a food drive of their own to support Amboy’s efforts. Their employees brought in donations and PrintMail matched every dollar that was collected.

Gregory Scharpf, Amboy Bank’s Chief Retail Banking Officer, stated “Thanks to the support of our generous clients, neighbors, staff and PrintMail the program has been a huge success. We were able to distribute our collectables in time for Thanksgiving. In light of the ongoing need we will continue our food drive through December.”

Founded in 1888, Amboy Bank a full-service commercial bank with 23 offices in Central New Jersey prides itself on quality service and responsiveness. Amboy Bank has been voted “Best Bank in Central Jersey” for the past 15 years in a row.
