COMMUNITY VOICE: In Defense of MoPA

Sorry I have to do this, but, I must. My observation of MoPA these last few years is that they are a diverse group of people, involved in many aspects of the City and it’s different organizations, who want only to see Perth Amboy get its full recognition as a truly historic and beautiful gem that it is.

They have worked with other groups to have the ‘Old Amboy Walking Tours’ updated and redistributed; supported the efforts to have the “9-11 monument”; the “Purple Heart monument” the ‘Founder’s Monument / the Scottish Cairn’ completed; their affair for the 4th of July fireworks at the Armory was a wonderful treat; they stripped the Ferry Slip Museum of its collections before ‘Sandy’ hit and returned to clean and restore the museum after the flood.

If there is any chance that the State might release funds, whole or in part, WHY would anyone want to discourage this?????? I’ve known David since he was a young man working at Seaman’s. Dave always had a bent for the negative. He always found it easier to’ po po’ ideas then work to see them accomplished.

Later, in politics, he wasn’t much different. Am I a Vas supporter-or not, am I on the McCoy ticket-or not, will Delgado make me the new City BA- thank God not.

Dave I hope you find yourself some day, and PLEASE, let it be something positive.
