COMMUNITY VOICE: Hurricane Sandy Update from Sayreville, NJ

Friends,

We in Sayreville, NJ, were devastated by Sandy. Like any other community in NY, NJ and CT affected by the hurricane, we KNOW that there will not be sufficient government funding from the state and federal governments to put things back to the way they were before. In Sayreville, NJ, alone 240 homes were damaged by this unprecedented storm, and 39 of these homes had their foundations collapse. We have several homes teetering, just waiting for the next rainfall before they fall into the ground.

I beseech your help in providing ideas for private funding to help cover the gap between the funding we will receive with government money and the REAL price tag. If anyone has ideas on sources of private funding, we would greatly appreciate it. Also, if anyone has a connection to Oprah or Ellen, we would like to get our story out on the air to as many people as need to hear it.

Thanks for reading. Be safe. Have a joyous holiday season, and May God Bless Us All and God Bless the United States of America.

Sincerely,

Richard Bednarz
Sayreville
