EDISON — The Edison Recreation Dept. is proud to celebrate the life of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the upcoming African-American Heritage Month on Saturday, January 19 at 1 p.m. at the Minnie B. Veal Community Center, 1070 Grove Ave., Edison. Highlighting the day will be the dramatic storytelling of Tahira. Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with tales of freedom fighters who risked their personal freedom to bring about social justice for African-Americans.
As an added attraction, the traveling MLK Museum exhibiting memorabilia of Dr. King will be on display.
