PERTH AMBOY — His Grace, Bishop Gregory will preside over the Sunday of Orthodox Vespers on Sunday, March 24 from 4 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 145 Broad St., Perth Amboy.

Bishop Gregory will deliver the homily. This will be a wonderful opportunity for the clergy and the laity of the Central New Jersey region to hear His Grace preach the word and to meet him informally in the fellowship hour that will follow Vespers.

On this day when the Church’s victory over the iconoclasts is celebrated. It will also be a spiritual privilege to be in the presence of myrrh-streaming “Icon of the Theotokos” that been Emitting this fragrant “myron” for well over a year at the St. George Carpatho – Russian Orthodox Church in Taylor, P.A. Father Mark Leasure will bring the icons and have them available for veneration that afternoon.

Singing the responses to Vespers will be St. John Church Choir to be directed by Mr. Georg Hanas, Choir Director and Cantor of the Church. Pastor of the church is Protopresbyter Michael Rosco.
