Free Downloadable eBooks for South Amboy Residents!

SOUTH AMBOY – Want a free book or audio book for your Kindle or compatible device? In celebration of National Library Week, the Dowdell Library would like to announce offering free downloadable books for South Amboy residents. Use the first 13-digits of your library card to get access from any location. Log onto dowdell.org/ereader.html.

Additionally, the library offers Learning Express Library from their web site at dowdell.org. Learning Express Library is an interactive online learning program featuring over 770 practice tests, tutorials, and eBooks related to job search and workplace skills improvement, career certification and licensing exam preparation, college entrance and graduate school admissions exam preparation, GED exam preparation, and basic skills improvement in reading, writing, and math, for all ages. Use the first 13-digits of your library card to get access from any location.

For genealogists, the library offers free access to ancestry.com within the library, so stop in for a trip back in time!

South Amboy residents who currently do not have a library card are welcome to drop in and get one today. Library cards are free.

The library is adjacent to the South Amboy High School off O’Leary Blvd. Library hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 12 noon – 4 p.m.
