Summer Fun For Everyone

PERTH AMBOY — With vision and shared purpose, the RARITAN BAY AREA YMCA and the PUERTO RICAN ASSOCIATION OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, INC. (PRAHD) will join this summer to provide camp programs with the focus of Summer Fun for Everyone. This joint effort will provide a sale, nurturing environment for children and families to learn, grow, and develop social skills. The organizations are committed to sharing strengths and resources to achieve a service model focused on offering quality, affordable care, while increasing capacity to serve more children.

As studies show, far too many children are unsupervised while parents are at work both afterschool and during the summer months. “Every child deserves a lifetime filled with fond memories, experiences, and friendships that only a great camp experience can provide,” stated Steve Jobin, President and CEO of the Raritan Bay Area YMCA. As leading nonprofits committed to nurturing the potential of youth, theY and PRAHD have been leaders in providing summer camp for many years in Perth Amboy. We continue to give youth an enriching, safe experience with caring stall and volunteers who model positive values that help build their child’s character. According to camping experts, there are 5 reasons why children should attend summer camp:

•Adventure •Healthy Fun •Personal Growth •New Friendships •Memories

In order to provide the children and families with the highest quality service our camps are American Camp Association Accredited (ACA). “This joint venture will allow our organizations to provide children with the best summer experience possible!” said Yvonne Lopez, Executive Director/CEO of PRAHD.
