Press Release March 11, 2013—
PERTH AMBOY – At the Y, strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility is our cause. Connecting with kids thru baseball is one of the many ways we will create lasting change. Because of the generosity and support of The Eddie & Brenda Trujillo Family Foundation Inc, kids will sharpen their skills while improving their health, enrich their lives, help them cope with life challenges and develop children of character.
This project is ideal to help connect with kids that perhaps don’t play basketball or swim competitively. The batting cages will help batters stay in shape over the winter months and will be useful year round to keep young athletes focused and motivated. “Our work is not easy, but real and lasting change can only come about when organizations work together to invest in our kids, said Mr. Trujillo. The YMCA is making a difference in lives every day and together we are able to impact more kids. ”
