David’s Touch Foundation Charity Motorcycle Run, 8/9/14

Press Release –

WOODBRIDGE – The David’s Touch Foundation hosted a “Touching Lives… One Child at a Time” Police Escorted Charity Motorcycle Run with the assistance of the Perth Amboy, Woodbridge and Carteret Police Departments on Saturday, August 9, 2014.  The run began and ended at the Shannon Rose in Woodbridge (855 Saint George’s Avenue), traveling throughout Carteret, Sewaren and Perth Amboy.

The event began at 11 a.m. with a commemoration ceremony and releasing of white doves in memory of David, son of Jenny Perez-Rosado.  The ride commenced promptly at 11:15 a.m.  Both Mayor McCormac of Woodbridge Township and Mayor Diaz of the City of Perth Amboy were in attendance.

For the past four years, David’s Touch has been escorted by the New Jersey State Police along with the Middlesex County Department of Corrections & Youth Services to a number of Children’s Hospitals to deliver toys to patients during the Holiday Season.  The backing the organization has received from several organizations and law enforcement officials have truly played an enormous role in David Touch’s Foundation motto, “Touching Lives… One Child at a Time.”

This event gives the public the opportunity to be involved and raises awareness of the foundation’s mission to deliver hope and joy to a child at their greatest time of need. It also will be a day to memorialize the life of a little boy who has and continues to touch so many.

David was nine years old when he lost his battle with lymphoma. The foundation was created by his mother , president and co-founder Jenny Rosada to keep David’s memory and legacy alive.
