SAFD Triumphant at NJ State Fireman’s Convention
WILDWOOD – The South Amboy Fire Department once again was triumphant at the NJ State Fireman’s Convention on Sept. 13 in Wildwood. The Dept. took home the following 1st place awards: Best Pumper Over 25 yrs. in Service: Mechancisville Engine Hose Company E-10; Best Pumper 10-15 yrs in Service: Independence Engine and Hose E7; Best Appearing Color Guard; Best Appearing Marching Over 25 Men; Best Appearing Marching with Music; Best Overall Fire Department with Marching Music and Apparatus. The Department’s Band, American Steel Weldry from Whippany, NJ also took home the first place for Best Band.
