Body Discovered Near Tracks by Washington Street

Police State It’s Homicide

PERTH AMBOY – On Monday, October 13, 2014 there was a crime scene near the railroad tracks on Washington Street.

According to Police Chief Benjamin Ruiz, who was on the scene: “Two people were walking down the trail near the tracks on Washington Street when they saw a body. They flagged down a police car stating that someone was in need of assistance and took the officer in the back. They took the Officer to the railroad tracks and where they found a deceased Hispanic male.”

Ruiz continued, “There is an investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. There should be a statement shortly from that department.”

Ruiz stated that this was definitely a homicide. Further details will follow.
