Police Execute Search Warrant on Park Avenue.

police-blotter-1jpg-8b3044d9067deffe_medium1PERTH AMBOY – On September 11, 2014, members of the, apt. #3, Perth Amboy, N.J. Arrested was Leury Dominguez-Vargas age 23, when (50) decks of heroin were recovered along with $377.00 in suspected narcotic proceeds and a small amount of synthetic marijuana.

Dominguez-Vargas was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone, possession of synthetic marijuana, and resisting arrest. Bail was set by the Honorable Judge Allan Comba at $100,000.00 with no 10% option and the requirement of a bail source hearing.

The total street value of the CDS seized is approximately $500.00. The investigation was led by Detective Mabner Terron.

Drug Arrest.

PERTH AMBOY – On Friday, October 3, 2014, members of the Perth Amboy Police Department’s Special Investigations Bureau were conducting surveillance in the area of Stockton Street and Fayette Street when a hand to hand narcotic transaction was observed between an individual who was identified as Corey Vaughn age 27, of Sayreville, N.J. who approached a parked waiting 2014, Kia, Forte and its occupants Helton Andrade age 30 of Sayreville, N.J. and Stephen Ogden age 32, of Sayreville, N.J. Vaughn then walked away from the area and Detectives approached the Kia, where (10) decks of heroin were recovered from Andrade. Both Andrade and Ogden were placed under arrest. Detectives then attempted to locate Vaughn and observed him nearby on Lehigh Avenue. As Detectives approached him, Vaughn led them on a brief foot pursuit through several residential yards before being apprehended on Fayette Street, 250 decks of heroin along with $760.00 in suspected narcotic proceeds were recovered from his person.

Vaughn was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone, distribution of heroin within 1,000 feet of a school zone & resisting arrest. Bail was set by the Honorable Judge Emery Z. Toth at $100,000.00 with no 10% option with the requirement of a bail source hearing.

Andrade was charged with possession of heroin and Ogden was charged with conspiracy to possess heroin. Bail was set by the Honorable Judge Emery Z. Toth at $10,000.00 with no 10% option for each.

The total street value of the CDS seized is approximately $2.600.00. The investigation was led by Detective Sergeant Carmelo Jimenez Jr.
