Councilman Joel Pabon, Sr. 1J
Joel Pabon, Sr. is a life-long Perth Amboy resident, first time council member, and currently serves as the Council President of the Perth Amboy City Council.
Prior to joining the Perth Amboy City Council, Joel served on the Perth Amboy Board of Education, as a coordinator of the Safe Haven After School Program, and as a former President and coach of the Perth Amboy Youth League and Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Latin American Softball Leagues.
He is a trustee of the Proprietary House Association and a member of the Congrejeros Softball Team, the Perth Amboy High School Hall of Fame Committee, the Recreation Advisory Committee, the Municipal Alliance, and the National Association of Postal Supervisors Branch 327.
Joel retired as an Army First Sergeant after 23 years of service where his service to our country earned him numerous military commendations. Joel is currently the Customer Service Supervisor at the Perth Amboy Post Office. He and his wife Marilyn are proud parents of two children.
Councilman William Petrick 2J
William Petrick is a life-long Perth Amboy resident and his family has lived in the City for over 100 years. He is a first term member of the Perth Amboy City Council and a member of the planning board. William served on the Perth Amboy Board of Education, the Zoning Board of Adjustment, and the Perth Amboy Volunteer First Aid Squad.
He is a former volunteer fire chief who is President of the Perth Amboy Exempt Firemen’s Associate, a life member of the New Jersey State Exempt Firemen’s Association, the New Jersey Relief Association and the New Jersey State Volunteer Fire Chiefs Association. William co-chaired “Celebrate The Amboys” in 2012 and 2014 in order to bring privately funded July 4th fireworks back to Perth Amboy at no cost to our taxpayers.
He is happily married with four children and manages a family owned small business that has been based in Perth Amboy since 1910.
Sergio Diaz 3J
Sergio Diaz is an active member of the Perth Amboy Business Improvement District and the Perth Amboy planning board.
Before becoming the Business Development Officer at Perth Amboy’s 1st Constitution Bank he served as a field representative for the Perth Amboy Urban Enterprise Zone program, where he recruited businesses to the program and coordinated programs to attract shoppers to Perth Amboy.
Sergio is an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Parish Council President of Our Lady of Fatima Church, and is a former commissioner of the Middlesex County Hispanic Affairs Commission.
Sergio has been married to his wife 29 years and has two daughters, Raquel and Michelle.
