Advisory: Robbery

News Release

PERTH AMBOY – On Saturday 1/31/15 at 10:44 p.m. Police were dispatched to 122 Catalpa Ave. “Catalpa Mini Market” on an Armed Robbery that had occurred. Victim stated that as he was closing up for the night and exiting the store he was approached by two unidentified Hispanic males wearing black ski masks, gloves and black clothing. The suspects then forced the victim back into the store and stated to the victim in English with a Spanish (Dominican) accent “You know what it is, give me all the money”. One of the suspects made the victim get on his knees and held him there at gun point while the other suspect went behind the counter and proceeded to take numerous items. The suspect holding the victim at gun point proceeded to remove items from the victim pockets. Once the suspects were completed with removing items from the store they forced the victim into the grocery store bathroom. The suspects then fled the store.
