SAYREVILLE – Following a major disaster, Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services professionals may not be able to fully meet the demand. People may have to rely on each other to meet the immediate life-saving needs, especially in isolated neighborhoods.
The Middlesex County Office of Emergency Management and Preparedness is offering this basic training in safety and life-saving skills.
The course curriculum will cover the following:
- Disaster Preparedness
- Fire Safety & Utility Controls
- Disaster Medical Operations – Part 1
- Disaster Medical Operations – Part 2
- Search & Rescue Operations
- CERT Organization
- Disaster Psychology
- Terrorism
- Review & Disaster Simulation
Classes will be held at the Middlesex County Fire Academy 1001 Fire Academy Drive Sayreville, NJ 08872.
Additional Dates: Monday nights from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.; March 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30, 2015; April 6, 13 & 20, 2015
