PERTH AMBOY – Some members of Perth Amboy Fire Department Battalion 1 donated some of their time on Saturday March 7th, 2015 and assisted in the construction of a house on Lawrie Street  in Perth Amboy.  The house which Noris Mercado, her 16-year-old daughter, 14-year-old son and grandson are planning to move in to once it is completed still needs a lot of work.  Debbie Walter from Habitat for Humanity contacted me a while back to see if I can help get some individuals to donate some time and I put it out to the members of the department.

Although this was not a Fire Department project the members happily donated their time and expertise to help a family in need. (*Photos Submitted)
