PERTH AMBOY – At approximately 19:00 Hrs., on Friday, 03/20/2015, members of the Perth Amboy Police Department’s Special Investigations and Detective Bureau, with the assistance of the  Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Gang, Guns and Drugs Task Force executed a Superior Court Search Warrant at 756 Raritan Ave. 2nd. floor apartment.

Arrested were the residents of the apartment, Fernando Nunez 31 years of age & Priscilla Reyes 29 years of age, after an undisclosed amount of  Oxycodone and Hydrocodone pills were recovered from the residence.

Mr. Nunez was subsequently charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon for committing an armed robbery at Ludwig’s Pharmacy at 456 Brace Ave. that occurred on 03/10/2015.

He also was charged with (3) counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, (3) counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute over ½ ounce, and endangering the welfare of a child.  Bail was set by the Hon. Judge Emery Z. Toth at $75,000.00 no 10% option.

Ms. Reyes was charged with (3) counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, (3) counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute over ½ ounce, & endangering the welfare of a child.  Bail was set by the Hon. Judge Emery Z. Toth at $25,000.00 no 10% option.

The total street value of the CDS seized is approximately $30,000.00.  The investigation was led by D/Sgt. Carmelo Jimenez Jr., with the assistance of Detective Jessica Dejesus.

“I am proud to see the cooperation between agencies resulted in another arrest of individuals that attempt  to threaten the safety of the residents of our City,” said Deputy Chief Larry Cattano.
