Diamond Dream Contest Winners

Press Release 5/11/15 PERTH AMBOY - Four Perth Amboy Catholic School Students won precious jewels in the Diamond Dream Fine Jewelers Essay contest for Mother’s Day.  Mr. & Mrs. Edward Shapiro of Diamond Dream Fine Jewelers in Bernardsville, N.J. asked elementary school students to write an essay entitled “My Mom Shines Like a Diamond.” Perth Amboy Catholic School, under the direction and guidance of Rose Pennyfeather and Sr. Rebecca Piatek had 4 student essay winners out of the 10 essays chosen from Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon, Morris and Union counties. The winners were Damilola Borishade, 2nd place, (Diamond), Katelynn Barcheski, (Garnet), Nicole Rosas-Bendrell (Peridot) and Joel Sierra (Garnet). The students and their mothers attended the Award Ceremony on Saturday, May 2nd at 3 p.m.
