Are 3 Minutes Enough?

By: Katherine Massopust PERTH AMBOY – High School Student Stephanie Rodriguez requested that only 3 minutes be given to her for speaking time during the public portion of the 8/20/15 Board of Education Meeting. Speaking very quickly, Stephanie stated that the proposed 3 minute rule was insufficient to get across what a person needs to be said. “If you have 2 hours in executive session (giving the public 5 minutes is a small percentage of your time). After her 3 minutes were up, a very rapidly speaking Stephanie’s time was over, and her point was made.
