SOUTH AMBOY –  NJ,] – South Amboy YMCA summer campers got a special treat on Thursday, August 6, 2015 when they visited the Somerset Patriots at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater. The kids got the opportunity to go onto the field for the singing of the National Anthem, and even talk to some of the ball players!

“It was a very memorable experience for many of them,” said Kaleigh DeLucca, summer camp and childcare director at the South Amboy YMCA. “I think it was a first for all of them!”

The Somerset Patriots are an American professional baseball team and a member of the Liberty Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. The Patriots are the winningest franchise in the Atlantic League, capturing five championship series titles, the most recent in 2009.
