Student Speaks about the G&T Program

PERTH AMBOY – One student came up and read a statement on how he wasn’t allowed in the G&T program due to the new requirements. “The upcoming program – I was not accepted. I was in G&T and received all A’s and 1 B+. I received awards. G&T students are supposed to be well rounded. I was on the soccer team. . .”

The student was in tears after reading his statement.

Superintendent Dr. David Roman stated, “I’m very proud of you. Come to the office tomorrow and see Dr. Vivian Rodriguez. I’m not promising you anything, but we’ll have a conversation. You do matter and I’m proud of you.” Roman shook hands with the student and gave him a hug.
