PERTH AMBOY – During the 10/14/15 Council Meeting Councilman Fernando Irizarry noticed that there was a person taping the meeting besides the City Cameraman. He questioned who they were.

Reluctantly, they said they were from a media outlet named La Nation.

Resident Orlando Perez came up to speak and informed Irizarry that anyone can tape a meeting and even put it on You Tube.

“There are those who are trying to squeeze the press. Sometimes government doesn’t like the news media. There will be a day when people will be bringing their own cameras.”

Fernando Irizarry answered back, “I also have a right to free speech, and I can question  a second camera being here.”
