PERTH AMBOY – One of the topics for discussion at the 10/14/15 Meetings was a procedure for application denial/handicapped parking.

Interim B.A. Peter Pelissier said, “We are looking to forming a committee which would consist of personnel from Code Enforcement, the City Clerk’s Office and the Police Department.”

City Clerk Elaine Jasko stated, “An applicant appealed the City’s denial of their having a handicapped spot.”

Councilman Joel Pabon said, “We can control some of the handicapped parking issues, but we have to make sure that it doesn’t supersede state law.”

Over the last few years, there have been communications from several residents who have complained that they have been unfairly denied handicapped spots.
