SOUTH AMBOY – Neuroblastoma is a rare disease in which a solid tumor (a lump or mass caused by uncontrolled or abnormal cell growth) is formed by special nerve cells called neuroblasts. Normally, these immature cells grow and mature into functioning nerve cells. But in Neuroblastoma, they become cancer cells instead. The exact cause of this abnormal growth is unknown, but scientists believe it’s related to a defect in the genes of a neuroblast that allows it to divide uncontrollably.

Your City Employees raise funds each year during the Holiday season for a family in distress.  This year, they are raising funds for Wyatt and his family to help defray the expenses of his treatments and family living expenses as both his mother (Jessy) and father (Michael) are out of work to attend to the needs of their son. The family has been going through many lifestyle changes due to Wyatt’s illness and could use all the help and support they can get from our community.  We are inviting the public to join us in this effort.

Giving Wyatt and his older brother Mikey the Christmas they deserve would be impossible due to the circumstances the family is facing.  Getting through the upcoming Holiday season will be difficult.  Please help us support Wyatt and his family.
