PERTH AMBOY - On December 18, 2015 Youth Alliance, a youth group sponsored by the Perth Amboy Municipal Alliance, participated in their annual Sticker Shock Campaign accompanied by Officer Henry Rodgers. Members entered three local liquor facilities to tag multiple boxes of beer and wine coolers, with bright neon green stickers asking buyers to “Keep it Legal/ Que Sea Legal”. Sticker Shock brings awareness towards underage drinking, reminding buyers that serving minors is illegal. Serving alcohol to minors is known as a disorderly person’s offense which includes up to six (6) months in the county jail, up to a $1,000.00 fine, and a permanent criminal charge on your record if convicted. Youth Alliance would like to thank Gast Wine & Liquors, Liquor T&A, and Ali’s Liquor Warehouse for participating in our campaign.
