PERTH AMBOY – On Saturday, January 9, 2016, I saw a band at Al Cibelli’s Restaurant and Night Club located on 1096 Convery Blvd, Perth Amboy that blew my mind away. Paulus Hook is a hard rock band from North Jersey which headlined the show.

Their live sound was unique and their vocals were powerful. The bass player and drummer were tight! 2 weeks later, Billy Potter the lead singer handed me a 4 song EP and now I can’t take it out of my CD player in my car. These catchy songs are going to be on the Billboard charts someday for sure. The first song: Good Soldier has cool guitar sounds with a driving beat. The lyrics are great with a strong chorus.

I love the way Billy expresses his vocals.Track#2 Echoes and Track #4 Illumination are good songs, however the song that sticks out the most is Crestfallen. This song has hit written all over it. I could see this song #1 on the Billboard charts and in a major motion picture. Billy Potter of Paulus Hook is a talented songwriter and vocalist.
