No Bid Contracts

 South Amboy Council 2/3/16 Business Meeting

SOUTH AMBOY – Consent Agenda – Awarding State Contracts – Councilman Thomas Reilly questioned why there were no bids for contracts that had to do with vendors supplying various services to the City. These no bid contracts included: automotive parts and supplies, fuel cost, services for tires, cellular phone services and heating oil.

Business Administrator Camille Tooker explained, “The City has been dealing with these same contractors for these various items for years and the State is also familiar with these vendors. Based on our past experience with these vendors, we find that their services and cost beneficial to the City.”

Resolution – Increasing a contract with Special Services Engineer 2015 (Resolution to be Prepared).

Business Administrator Camille Tooker said, “The Engineering Company Grotto will be doing work on the Radford Ferry Road Project. A Resolution with a more detailed explanation will be prepared by our City Engineer.”

City Attorney Lanza said, “The firm, Grotto Engineer will be the liaison between myself, the Department of Transportation, the City Engineer and City Officials to give us an update on the road leading to the Ferry.”

City Engineer Mark Rasimowicz said, “Grotto Engineer is right now doing environmental remediation at the site. That’s where we are at now.”

Councilman Donald Applegate was not present at the Meeting.
