PERTH AMBOY – Violence took his life but his legacy continues to speak out against the violent behavior that devastates communities. Richie Pryce was gunned down one year ago and one year later his vision of starting a non-profit organization is alive and closer to becoming a reality.  Saturday, February 27, 2016, 6:00pm a memorial service for Richie Pryce will take place at the Jankowski Center, 1 Olive Street Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

Richie’s family and friends were shocked to hear of his death resulting from the very thing he spoke against. “Speaking out against violence” will be one of the topics lifted up at the occasion where he will be remembered.

Richie Pryce’s service will be a community event that will have performance, motivational speakers, spoken word, food, dance and music.  Family, friends and the community will come together to honor Richie and share stories about his life.

February is Black History Month and the memorial event will include presentations on gun violence, leadership and social justice.  The PryceLess Foundation which is being set up and will be announced during the service has a mission to: Inspire and motivate everyone to make positive decisions and to live a healthy and successful life.

There is no cost to attend the service. “It’s a special evening for us to reminisce on his life, become inspired and start working to get rid of community violence.” Stated Jahmal Pryce, brother of Richie
