SOUTH AMBOY – On February 6, 2016 from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 p.m. The South Amboy Elks #784, arranged for 20 veterans and 6 staff members from the Menlo Park Veteran’s home, to attend a Valentine’s Day Luncheon. During the luncheon members from the American Legion Post # 62, that are also members of the Elks, read the “MIA/POW Table Setting”, which had to be set up in the dining room for all to see.  When the veterans were ready to return to their home, each one was presented with a gift bag and a monetary donation along with other goodies. The Lodge was able to raise over $2,900 from businesses and member donations to support our Veteran’s Committee.  Lodge members also attended the Veteran’s bingo that is held once, each and every month at the Menlo Park home.
