PERTH AMBOY – 3/21/16 Caucus. Resolutions R-167 and R-168 Approving Seasonal Fixed Location, Lease Licenses at the Perth Amboy Marina for Slavko Petric and Edgardo Lugo and Noemi Cardona D/B/A Bomba D’Food Truck, Respectively.

Councilman Bill Petrick and Fernando Gonzalez had differences of opinions about allowing these food vendors in the Marina area. Fernando Gonzalez said, “The existing restaurant owners had concerns that these seasonal food vendors would be taking business away from them.

Petrick said, “There were four permits available prior to us being on the Council. They are not taking away from the brick and mortar establishments. In the past there were restrictions placed on ice cream establishments selling food. This is a different base.”

Gonzalez  said, “My main concern is there should be a balance.”

At the 3/23/16 Council Meeting these two Resolutions were moved along with all resolutions on the agenda by Bill Petrick and seconded by Fernando Irizarry.

Council President Lisa Nanton was absent.
