South Amboy Receives Go Ahead to Start Ferry Terminal Site Construction

SOUTH AMBOY – On June 8th, the City received notification that Federal Highway Administration authorized funding up to an amount of $2,054,486.00, for the South Amboy Intermodal Federal Aid Highway Program project in the City of South Amboy, Middlesex County. This will fund the initial costs of Phase 1 of the construction of the Ferry Terminal, which includes a professional services contract for Licensed Site Remediation Services and the successful bidder on the initial construction phase.

Bids will be advertised for the next three weeks in three regional newspapers as required when Federal funds are utilized. Bid opening will be July 6th at 10am. We will soon be advertising for the design of the Ferry Terminal and Parking.  For additional information please contact the Office of the Mayor at 732.525.5932 or email tomayor@southamboynj.gov.
