Fireworks details: parking, locations, etc.

PARKING ADVISORY

•        All Streets south of Lewis Street will CLOSED at 6:00 p.m.

•        Residents who live south of Lewis Street will have to provide proof of address for access to local streets.  Guests of residents will not be able to drive or park their vehicles on these closed streets

•        Free meter parking after 5:00 p.m. in the downtown district and public parking lots

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

•        High Street from Smith Street to Sadowski Parkway will be open only to neighborhood residents with proof of address

•        All traffic South of Lewis Street will be closed to the public

•        Sadowski Parkway (both sides) and Water Street (East Side) to the Raritan Bay Yacht Club will be posted as NO PARKING. Road will be closed to traffic at 6:00 pm

•        Lewis Street will be One Way going West from High Street to Second Street; only open to local traffic

•        Paterson Street will be One Way going East from Second Street to State Street; only open to local traffic.

•        Sadowski Parkway will be closed at noon west of High to State Street

SAFETY ADVISORY

•        No public drinking, no swimming, no fishing and no parking where signs are posted, you will be ticketed and towed.  Perth Amboy beach area will be closed at 4:00 p.m.

•        State Law prohibits the use of personal fireworks

•        Pets are strongly discouraged from being present during the fireworks performance.  This is for both their safety and the safety of the general public.

•        Fishing pier will be closed at 10 a.m. on July 2nd and reopened at midnight.
