PERTH AMBOY – Raritan Bay Medical Center Foundation announced the 32nd annual Harbor Lights Ball will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at The Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, N.J. The fundraising event, chaired by Dr. George and Jessica Smith, will support Raritan Bay Medical Center’s Integrative Health Program while honoring special members of the community who have been valued partners of the hospital.

At Raritan Bay, Integrative Health treats the whole person, not just the disease, and gives patients more opportunities to participate in their care, enriching their health and well-being. State-of-the-art health care has been redefined by combining the latest medical advances with complementary therapies. This approach to health care is rapidly becoming the new standard, introducing broader possibilities for healing and nurturing the body, mind and spirit. In 2015 alone, the Integrative Health Program provided over 2,200 inpatient visits at no charge for treatments such as guided imagery, music therapy, Reiki, Qigong and Tai Chi.

“This is an extremely exciting time at Raritan Bay, having recently become a part of the Hackensack Meridian Health family,” shared Michael D’Agnes, FACHE, president of Raritan Bay Medical Center. “With our extended network, we have the opportunity to offer the community the best possible care while strengthening our local programs, such as Integrative Health. The Harbor Lights Ball and continued philanthropic support make a huge impact on our mission to provide the best health care experience.”

The Harbor Lights Ball is the premier annual fundraising event for the medical center where three awards will be presented to deserving community representatives. Honorees were selected based on their dedication and philanthropic commitment to Raritan Bay and the surrounding community. Honorees include:

• Executive of the Year Award: Joseph H. Davi, president and CEO, Med-Metrix. Mr. Davi is a strong philanthropic supporter of Raritan Bay, while also at the helm of one of our most successful health care vendors.

• Business of the Year Award: Verasoni Worldwide, accepted by founder and CEO, Abe Kasbo. Verasoni Worldwide delivers integrated marketing, public relations, advertising, and digital strategies across channels to clients in the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Verasoni has been a partner of Raritan Bay Medical Center for over seven years.

• Norman Tanzman Award: Husband and wife Constance and James J. Elek. Mr. and Mrs. Elek are well-known and beloved in the business and philanthropic communities that Raritan Bay serves, with Jim owning J.J. Elek Realty in Woodbridge, NJ. They have both been deeply involved with Raritan Bay for decades.

The fundraising event will feature a cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dancing with music by REIGN, a silent auction and a 50/50 cash raffle. There are many opportunities for individuals, organizations and corporations to sponsor the event and to place ads in the program.
