B-Men Mentoring Founder Edison Jaquez Holds Book Signing for His Memoir, ‘A Second Chance’

Press Release 8/31/16
EDISON –The question of how to empower youth in underserved communities to become successful adults is a burning one, and Edison Jaquez has answers. Jaquez has devoted his life to serving and supporting the youth of New Jersey; he founded life-changing mentoring programs B-Men and BYOUtiful to provide young men and women with the skills and confidence that he needed when he was in their shoes. Jaquez knows the challenges they face, using his own journey to teach his mentees: “Don’t let your history define who you are.”  A Second Chance shares these lessons and the story of Jaquez’s transition away from a life of self-destruction to one of self-realization.  Readers have responded passionately to Jaquez’s powerful, human story, calling it “Simply an amazing, inspiring, life changing book.” His upcoming book signing is an opportunity for readers to meet the leader and motivational speaker, learn more about his life journey, and raise awareness for the invaluable mentoring programs Jaquez has brought to his community. The event takes place at Barnes and Noble, Menlo Park Mall, 55 Parsonage Rd., Edison. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 at 7 p.m.
