PERTH AMBOY, NJ— Mayor Wilda Diaz and the Perth Amboy Police Department held a swearing-In ceremony today for Thomas Fazio, for the office of Police Officer.

“Our professional police department reflects a new generation of leaders– ambitious young adults, who are dedicated to public service and are proud of this community. For the first time in nearly 10 years our police department has reached its highest capacity,” said Mayor Wilda Diaz.

Thomas Fazio is a graduate of Middlesex County College with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He is a graduate of the Mercer County Police Academy and has served as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the Perth Amboy Police Department for three years. Thomas is the son of Rosario and Gina Fazio; brother to John and Russ Fazio. He currently resides in Perth Amboy.
