Dowdell Library Receives History Grant

SOUTH AMBOY – The Dowdell Library of South Amboy will be digitizing local high school yearbooks that have not yet been digitized with funding provided in part by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, through a grant provided by the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State.

In addition, library staff will present a fun historical program on Tuesday, November 29 from 6:30-8 pm, which will feature interesting segments of local history such as the artwork, photographs and thoughts of young adults of that time, etc.  Refreshments will be available.

The Dowdell Library’s hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm, Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturdays from 12-4 pm. For more information on the Library, please visit www.dowdell.org, or contact the Library at 732-721-6060 or comments@dowdell.org.
