Police Officer Angel Padilla Honored

PERTH AMBOY – Police Officer Angel Padilla (Center holding plaque) was honored at the 12/20/16 Special Board of Education Meeting held at Perth Amboy High School. Linden Police Officers Angel Padilla and Peter Hammer were wounded arresting Seaside Park and Manhattan bombing suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami. Officer Angel Padilla was shot in the torso, but his bulletproof vest prevented a more serious injury. Angel Padilla is brother to Perth Amboy Police Officer Lt. Eddie Padilla. Angel and Eddie Padilla grew up in Perth Amboy and Angel Padilla served 10 years as a Member of the Perth Amboy Auxiliary Police before joining the Linden Police Force.
